You gotta be crazy
you gotta have a real need

the most progressive of floyd's albums perhaps?

I remember when i fort got into this album, i was 13 or 15? and grab an old sony walkman from my father, also some old on hear old headphones, he had most floys cassetes. I think the headphones where koss but cant remember which, big, bulky and retro looking. I was like "OMG this must be the longest song ever" while listening at dogs ... so awesome.

Really difficult. But in the end, I guess I must choose Wish you Were Here. As I've said before, this one could just as well have been the final.

Animals.

It's their best album IMO.

This is the hardest choice - two of my faves of all time.  I'm going with Animals though, as it's the one I'm more into at the moment.

"You're never gonna die, you'll make it if you try "

Interesting poll 5 vs 5 songs (actually 4 vs 5) but I ultimately went with WYWH ... although I'm happy that Animals is putting up a good fight

Interesting one.
Both albums were written around 1975 and the music is very similar.

It's definitely Animals for me though.
Wish You were here has too much stinkers (such as WYWH, Have a Cigar, and Shine on as well really Approve)

Hmm...Animals, no question about it. In fact, I'm gonna assert it's at least Pink Floyd's 2nd best album (can't really decide whether I like Dark Side or Animals more).

See, Animals actually has a nice acoustic ballad and 3 terrific rockers (I'm counting Pigs on the Wing as 1). Wish You Were Here just has a lengthy multi-part w**kfest and two so-so anti-establishment numbers. Sure, it has one of the most gorgeous ballads ever written, but the other numbers are borderline offensive to yours truly.

It's Animals for me (even though I can't yet vote in the poll). I really like WYWH, but it think it drags out a bit too much.
