I'm stunned and saddened to learn of this.  There will never be another like Captain Beefheart. 

Can you tell me where we're headin'?

Sigh...just saw the news myself. Terrible Terrible news. What a character...definitely a prog man to the bone.
 
He'll be missed for sure. Will have to have a marathon of his works sometime soon to commemorate.
