New Californian band that have a very particular take on progressive rock... they describe it as:

"...an all-star, genre-destroying, gun-for-hire group of individuals calling themselves MoeTar. Wielding the power of Led Zeppelin, the complexity of Zappa, and the hook-bound pop sensibilities of The Beatles..."

The closest reference to their sound is Modest Midget with a heavy Zappa influence...

MoeTar is the project of bassist Tarik Ragab, joined by a very skillful group of musicians:
*Moorea Dickason on vocals
*David M. Flores on drums
*Matt Lebofsky on keys(also bass player for miRthkon)
*Matthew Heulitt on guitar

Very nice. Tarik is an old friend of mine. A mega-talented nut and a good man. I wish I had a copy of his work with his eclectic band "E is for Elephant".
