That´s realy interesting, how many Prog bands have borrowed name from any Prog album or song. Which is your favourite one?

Discipline, easy.

I don't think that any of them are cover bands, although some may be clone bands of the bands that influenced their names.

What's the original for Still Life? Considering that they only released one album in 1971 it can't be Van Der Graaf Generator...am I missing an older Still Life?

I don´t think that "Deep Purple" is a PROG song, because it´s allegedly favourite song of Ritchie´s granny.Confused
