I want to get to the bottom of this. Some say "moonmadness" is better and some say "snowgoose" is better. Personally I prefer Snowgoose but both are very good.

This'll be one of the few times I crap out and say both are equal.  I always think I like Moonmaddness a little more, but every time I hear The Snow Goose I say, "nope."

Just out of curiosity if someone likes a different Camel album more than these two please write it in here.

My favorite is Mirage, but of the two I'd say Moonmadness is my preferred.

I don't care for either of those albums nearly as much as Camel's first two.

Snow goose is the very peak of Camel's career... a particularly good rendition of it can be found in "A Live Record" with orchestra and everything!

Both great albums.   I also like most of what can found on the first few albums (another way of putting this is that I'm quite happy going through discs 1-3 of the recent box set, while disc 4 (which is to say post-Nude) puts me in iffier territory).

Still Moonmadness definitely feels like their best work to my ears.
The damage that we do is just so powerfully strong we call it love

The damage that we do just goes on and on and on but not long enough.

I'll take snowgoose, although I think it's a bit over rated. Its got 3-4 solid tracks but lot of it is filler IMO. I'll take Mirage, Rain Dances or the self titled debut album over both anyday
