New topic!  Have many of you heard/seen Ollie with Yes or in other projects?

I passed on the Benoit David Yes in Chicago, but wish I had gone now in order to say I had seen Ollie!  Reviews of his playing with Yes were a bit mixed, but he seems like a nice chap.

I posted the following question to him on his Facebook page, and he generously replied to each & every inquiry!
----

(from Charles Stack)

Oliver, what are your touring plans, if any? I'm in Chicago, which is very Wakeman-friendly turf! Hope to see you here, Charles

(Oliver's reply)
It's realy nice to hear of places being described as Wakeman friendly, especially as I have now played in Chicago on quite a few occasions!

I would love to tour the US with my own band. The current plans are to get the Cultural Vandals album out and then tour Europe and if there is sufficient interest for a US release of the album we'll come over and tour.

Fingers crossed this all happens as I'd love to perform in the US with my own material.

Oliver

Does anyone on PA know about Ollie's "Cultural Vandals" album?  Cheers!

I saw him last year with Yes.  He's not Rick but he's serviceable.  He filled the holes nice enough but don't expect any ripping solos (or least he didn't offer any last year.

Sound clips aren't bad, I like this more than a lot of new prog I've heard.

He's quite the journeyman....he did a bit of work with the late, great Starcastle, and is now contributing to the Strawbs.
We need some new blood, I wish him the best!!

His 2008 DVD offers a fine overview of his work. http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=18759
