I haven't heard it, but since you have most (all?) linked in the opening post I"ll give it a listen at some point in the near future.

^If it makes you feel better, you could start one about Steven Wilsons new album and I'll troll it for you, I guarantee it'll go to the second page at least!

So you are saying that I made the mistake of choosing the one album in all of PA that won't have any haters. I find that hard to believe. That would have to be a first in PA history.

I think thatr your failure resides on the fact that there isn't much to discuss about this album. It is excellent, one of the finest releases of 2011 by a clear mile, and I believe that there isn't many things to say other than saying it is extraordinarily amazing.

Given this one another spin. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to make this thread concept more interesting? There seems to be a desire to talk about artists that aren't the same 10 bands that are talked about to death, but it seems that none of these threads that try to discuss lesser known bands can ever pick up any steam. I hoped that posting all of the videos to give easy access might help spur a discussion on this album but obviously i have failed once again.

Ha ha. Yes, Teo, I actually read your thread and review today which made me all the more interested in hearing the Tall Poppy Syndrome. Before creating this thread I did a search and found a couple of threads discussing that album but none discussing this one. To be honest, I was kind of surprised since there are over 100 reviews/ratings on this album so I would have thought that there might have already been a thread about this album. I don't think there was one, unless I did a bad search of sorts.

I posted a review about their previous album which was totally ignored of course but I remember I realized back then what a great band was being born. This album only confirms it. Deserves more opportunities here.

I was listening to this album earlier today, one of the best releases from what has been quite a good year. I'd point out the tracks that I find to be really good, but I'd end up listing most of the album! I've got to admit I found the previous album Tall Poppy Syndrome OK but nothing special, this one is a big improvement.
Damn, only one UK gig and it would of course be in London. |

Let us try this again. Lets talk about the new release from Norwegian prog metal band Leprous, which is titled Bilateral. I have not had a chance to hear their other albums yet, but I have had the pleasure of hearing Bilateral, and I think that it is fantastic. Anyhow, I am going to post youtube videos below for those of you who haven't heard it, and hopefully some of you will take the time to listen to them and tell us all what you think about this album. I didn't find anywhere else where this album could be listened to in streaming format, so if you know of a place please post a link. Thank you.
If you like what you hear the album can be purchased here at Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Bilateral-Leprous/dp/B005CAAXXM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322059608&sr=8-1 Here is a link to the band's website if you would like to explore them further. http://www.leprous.net/ Edited by rushfan4 - November 23 2011 at 09:53 |
