If you are a Yes fan, you’re on a ride for an enormous disappointment. Here is why:

1- This is the most awful recording in the whole Yes career. I have doubt that they even agree with this release. This is supposed to be a 1985 live radio recording. Well, it sounds like they played in a big can of beans. There are lots of noises all the way. It is worse than the worse bootleg you can get on the black market.

2- The reason why I bought this album is the 3rd song which is credited as “The Gates of Delirium”, a 20 min. plus epic masterpiece of Yes catalog. It is a big lie. All we got is a 3:42 min. of the end of the song called “Soon”.

3- The 8th song is credited as “Astral Traveler”. Wrong: it is a short version of “Starship Trooper”.

4- And the final scam, in the inside booklet photo, you can see the new Yes singer, Benoit David who is with the band since 2010.

I’m preparing to return my copy right away!

You are talking about this?

It looks like a bootleg or a recording that recently surfaced someone was lucky to have the license to more than a legitimate release by the band. For sure, the timing is not right, since they just released their live album from the 2009 tour.

I'd still grab it. Seems better than 9012Live, anyways.

On your web link, the songs are credited correctly. But this is not the case in the album's cover. And my copy comes from a authorized dealer: Amazon ! Good luck anyway bud if still want it !

I still haven't got a chance to get their new live album, and though I liked the concert I attended with Benoit, I was not sure about how good it would be. I'd like to know why you thought it was terrific.

Another album worth warning people about: Steely Dan's Yellow Peril. I didn't find out until after I got it that it isn't an official release or a bootleg.  The band says not to get it.  It's kind of an interesting snapshot of the band in their formative period but after a few listens I didn't want to play it again.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I have a live copy of Genesis in late 70/early 71, can't remember which and in Belgium I think.  Anyway, it has the only recording of "The Light" I've been able to find.  Sadly, it sounds like the mic was about 6 or 7 miles from the band and it sounds like Peter is chewing on some mud while singing.  I'll be sure to steer clear of this Yes live one.  And I like 9012Live, btw.  Especially now that they've added It Can Happen and City of Love as bonus tracks.  Cool
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I actually meant to say while being in a can, but my in keys weren't working properly on this keyboard at the time.

It might seem to make the music closer.

I've had Yessongs on VHS and also another Yes live DVD with sound quality that was, uh, unfortunate.

This one??? Absolutely excellent! Even if there is a dozen versions of these songs live (except for a few Drama numbers), they were top notch for this live set, Benoit David is excellent and Oliver Wakeman shines like a star!

First disc is good, Benoits voice seems weaker on a couple of songs disc 2 (including Machine Messiah, which is a shame because that's one of the reasons I bought the set), overall much better than I expected from the lineup presented on these discs but not the best Yes live I have.
