Hey guys
last week I found out that the German band RPWL are going to release a new album this march.
It's going to be a concept album. What do you think about it? I only read their press text on their homepage www.rpwl.de

Nobody else in this forum interested in RPWL?
If so, has anybody already heard some of the new songs on the radio or elsewhere?

I'm a fan and looking forward to it. Was on their site about a week ago. I'm a little sad that it appears bassist Chris Postl is not on the album. I thought his solo album was very good. Still, looking forward to the release of the new RPWL.

Postl's solo album is great.  the thing about RPWL is that they have infectious melodies that keep me coming back.

Yeah I agree. It's not easy to write melodies that you want to hear over and over. They are really good at it. What is Yogi's solo album like?

I like Postls because it had the feel of RPWL without being them.

Yogi's solo album is excellent.  it's a lot more spacey than RPWL albums.  there are lots of tasty moog solos as well as gilmouresqe guitar.  Yogi also does a nice moog solo on the most recent Eureka release from a few years ago.  I really love Yogi's voice.  so soothing and uplifting.  he's very inspired.

What do you guys think about the idea of an audiobook coming with the limited edition?

Hi all, was just on CDnow and was able to listen to samples of the new album-SOUNDS GOOD! Can't wait for the release here in the states. More proof that Lang and Wallhner are a terrific writing team. Don't really care one way or the other about the whole audiobook thing. Just want more great music. Smile

. . . and yeah, we love you guys and don't mind helping get the word out / providing input, but really, try to establish more of a web presence here other than just touting your own band.

^ Call it a hunch . . . 7 posts total, all of which are designed at building hype for either RPWL or Yogi Lang himself.  I honestly don't have a problem with the concept, it's just the pretending to be random person on the street act that seems disingenuous to me.  (blink, holy heck, I got disingenuous without using spell check . .. woot)

probably right.  if so, it really hurts the rep of the band.
