On their FB site they announced:

New single coming out 15. May!
We release it as digital download to promote our new bandcamp-site.
There you can stream audio for free, download audio in various formats, buy our CDs and also soon LPs. This is THE place to buy Hidria music online.
Full album is scheduled to come out in august.

Great cover. I guess it`s for album, not for the single but I may be mistaken.

Who`s happy?Tongue

This is some cool music. The only thing Ive heard from this band before is HDRSF-1, but this new song sounds 'heavier'.

That song alone is MUCH better than their last album as a whole.

I think the realease date is set for 12 September or around that day. You can check the setlist here http://www.emusic.com/listen/#/album/hidria-spacefolk/astronautica/13529787/

only 5 songs, but they`re quite long.

Somebody can edit album entry now I guess ;)

Hidria Spacefolk new album astronautica published 09/14/2012

After years of waiting Hidria Spacefolk finally releases a new studio album.

The making of this album grew to epic proportions and we experienced numerous setbacks. The end result is aptly named Astronautica with reference to the Argonauts Odyssey in Greek mythology. Even though the Cyclops has thrown spanners in the works and the Sirens lured us to deep waters, at last the golden fleece is in our possession. Or the same story in Finnish mythology: Sampo has been captured back from Lovehetar, and it starting to spread good to the world once again.

The album is available on vinyl, CD and can be downloaded from the most popular mp3 shops as well as the band's bandcamp site: http://hidriaspacefolk.bandcamp.com/

Record release party was held at Tavastia Club, Helsinki on Saturday 09/22/2012.

Interview and promotional photo requests to e-mail [email protected]

I streamed it last night and liked it.  Isn't €14 a bit expensive for a CD, though?

14 € is expensive if you have to buy with $. 16-18€ is pretty normal for new CD here...

Going to give this one a listen pretty soon, because I noticed it's available on vinyl, and DAMN that cover looks amazing!

So if I like what I hear (chances are I will, because I keep reading about similarities to the Ozrics, and I'm listening to the Ozrics's latest `Paper Monkeys' at work right now while typing this!), I'll put in an order for the LP pronto!

Thanks!

You might be disppointed if compared to ozric thou. The comparison is getting pretty old! ;)

You can listen the whole album here:
http://hidriaspacefolk.bandcamp.com/
And then deside if you want to buy it or not.
BUT we would appreciate if you listen it couple times before making decision... ;)

If the streaming mp3 quality is too low for somebody, you can request download codes with PM from me.

Wow, that is indeed beautiful, congratulations guys!

As for the guy who said 14 euros was expensive, average CD prices here range between 20 and 60 R$, so I would be more than grateful if I could pay only R$14 instead.

People just complain about everything, even if they are on the upper hand, don't worry Finnish people. Tongue

Didn't mean to accuse anyone of price-gouging!
Just thought that 14 euros (18+ USD) was a bit more than normal.  I prefer 16 USD max for a single disc release.
