Copied/pasted from my inbox because I am a lazy man.

Believers Roast
are delighted to announce the release of psychedelic troubadours Knifeworld's forthcoming EP Clairvoyant Fortnight.

Representing the six piece's strongest material to date, this three song excursion into 'the other' will be available from June the 11th as a beautiful digipak CD or download.

Pre-order your copy here for a free download of Clairvoyant Fortnight edit. The full-length version appears on the CD.

Treat yourself NOW to the kaleidoscopic 'Kenneth Anger by way of Rentaghost' video to that very edited version of Clairvoyant Fortnight.

As if the undead, the occult and enlightenment weren't enough, the video reveals God. The pious have always attested that it is someone already known to us, this promo proves them RIGHT.

Knifeworld will be spotted in various locations this Summer playing music that, from a distance, sounds a bit like rock.

I somehow accidentally launched two You Tubes that were about 5 seconds or so out of synch and I was wondering what the hell is this?  I stopped the second one and went back and am still wondering. LOL

Nice.  I like that their neither retro (well, their outfits maybe!) nor metal.  Not that I don't think both of those elements, but I appreciate bands who go their own way.

The video is so good. I've been watching it constantly the last few days. I love Kavus's dancing so much! Also this is one of the best Knifeworld tunes so far.

Teliof I mean. They're on progarchives. Some of their music sounds nothing like this, but specifically their song on progarchives has a lot of the weird vocal stylings that make it sound super happy. Lovely.

I was intrigued and gave them a listen. Whilst I can kinda see where you're coming from, the massively unsubtle preachy Christian lyrics were really distracting and I didn't make it to the end of the song.

One of the lovely things about Knifeworld is that they manage to sound like basically nothing else (with the possible exception of Kavus' old band The Monsoon Bassoon) without ever sacrificing melody. Much as you can hear glimmers and splotches of Kavus' favourite bands like Henry Cow, Magma and Cardiacs, Knifeworld ultimately just sound like Knifeworld to me, and I love them for that.

^ I agree, though there's a very strong Monsoon Bassoon aroma. But considering he was also the songwriter there, that's rather expected.

I think you are massively mistaken on the Christian lyrics.

They are singing about being part of a cult. Talking about murdering everyone that doesn't believe what they believe. Haha It is way more sinister than you thought.

BUT, I do agree Knifeworld does sound like no one else. I was stating the choir vocals reminded me of them. Tis' all.

I must've missed that lyric! LOL

Oh well. Maybe I'll give them a proper chance at some point. Anyway, we're getting off-topic now. That topic being Knifeworld and their indisputable excellence. I'm so psyched for the new EP!
