I'd just like to say I really like (and agree with) Lazland's excellent reviews for Mostly Autumn's albums, having been helpfully pointed in the right direction by SteveG. Lazland should have his own prog album reviews blog.

Most kind, dear chap. A letter to Rishi Sunak at 11 Downing Street requesting an urgent enhanced retirement package, on Classic Civil Service pension terms, in order to devote time to such a blog in the interests of national harmony and wellbeing would probably do it I really do not have the spare time to devote too much to reviewing any more, but, as the schoolteacher always said in my annual reports to Mum and Dad, ability, but must try harder. I might get a couple going this week.

^ " But must try harder" - That sounds more like one of MY old school reports.

Thank you Bartymj for writing the second review for this album which I also consider to be a 5 star modern prog classic! (As seen in my review for it) always happy to see love for King Gizzard here on this website! I agree with pretty much everything you had to say! I also really pickup on elements of Krautrock throughout the album.

Agree strongly with much of what you have to say about this excellent album FatherChristmas, I wrote a review as well rated just slightly lower at a strong 4 stars.

I was impressed with the review of Neal Morse's new album Sola Gratia by a new reviewer by the name of thesimilitudeofprog in that he covered well the music and story of this concept album about the early activities of the Christian apostle Paul. His review was very centered on the beauty of the music, as well as the proggy highpoints, and his review was detailed enough to show that this album is not a preaching session by Morse, which could turn off the non faithful. I'm going to give it a listen and that's saying a lot from a faithful agnostic.

Thanks, Doug. I love Haken's new album, though I expect most will still prefer the Mountain.

I've been waiting awhile for someone to review The Reconstrukction of Light and TCat's review was worth the wait! Very nice, thanks.

In general, I like reviews by TCat and Psycho Paul, who I tend to agree with, though I don't read reviews that often, I prefer to write them - "The main thing is to make reviews, not to read them", Otto von Bismark.
(The original quote is "The main thing is to make history, not to write it", in case you were wondering ).

Yes, you did have me wondering for a moment there, because I haven't seen any album reviews written by Otto von Bismarck.

I always thought Father Christmas was Saint Nicholas from Lappland, but apparently, he's Saint Thomas from England.

Yep, finally someone else is appreciating this album as the great late career prog/art rock it is, don't sleep on the mission. Check out the song Red Storm, pure progressive rock.

I, Saint Paul, would like to ask someone else (other than me) to review Bossk's Audio Noir album. Bossk are a post metal band from Kent, where I live, and I recently added their 2016 debut Audio Noir to the database (for some reason it wasn't there). They're a good band, very underappreciated at this site, especially as they're famous enough to have a Wikipedia page.
