Eskaton's one of the very best in Zeuhl, whereas I don't rank UTO so highly (mind you, I like all of the bands to some extent in the Zeuhl category).

I thought UTO was Italian. I'm probably cobfusing them with someone else. Totem is a very popular thing in the ZART world.
I'm picking them as well.

No way I could go with anyone but Eskaton here, probably my favorite bassist of the classic Zeuhl era. Even beats out a lot of Paga/Top's stuff of the same time period.

Eskaton for me too, only recently I listened to UTO's two albums and although it was good it was quite tiring.

Eskaton - even if I always associate the name with escargot and marathon. A marathon for snails?

Tough one! I gave both 4 Visions and Rituale Alieno 5 stars. Didn't care for both groups' other albums near as much.
Gonna give it to Eskaton because they are the more important band of the two in the Zeuhl world. |

Or the End of the World, which is what Eskaton actually means. End times for running snails?

^It seems PA members don't think Dün is Zeuhl enough but It is to my ears. If all Zeuhl has to sound like a Magma side project (see Weidorje) to qualify it wouldn't be a very interesting genre imo.
