Solution .45 is labeled Melodic Death Metal, but inventive and unpredictable and with their last song clocking in at 16:14 it is progressive enough for me.

It is always useful if you can include some audio samples when you propose a band for addition: - in this particular case all tracks from their only album so far ('For Aeons Past', 2010) are available on YouTube:

One of many projects involving vocalist/multi instrumentalist Christian Älvestam, who is probably best known for his work with another Swedish Melodic Death Metal band, Scar Symmetry. He is similar to Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt in that he possesses both an extreme clean singing range and a very impressive ability to growl!

He co-formed this band with guitarist/drummer Jani Stefanovic in late 2007, and yes, I would imagine this is definitely worth running past the Prog Metal team...  Cool

I would make the point that long doesn't necessarily relate to prog, but I will send it to PM boys, even though my own feeling is that it should be a no.
