I always considered it to be their weakest.

Primus by far. The Cardiacs, though I really do respect and appreciate them, can be a bit much for me in terms of their experimentation. I mean, it's pretty out there stuff - excellent, but I wouldn't listen to it on a casual basis. Little Man and Sing To God are Avant-Prog milestones though - love those albums. I've grown up on Primus - one of the most infamous bands of the 90's. The Brown Album is fantastic!

From the little bit I've heard of each, I'll take Cardiacs.

Primus are by no means my favourite band, but they are miles better than The Cardiacs, whose merits have absolutely and completely escaped me.

I guess I'm one of the biggest Primus fans around here, I think they never really released a bad album. Everything by the original lineup is extremely good, and I hope they will continue on releasing more albums as they just did after 12 years of silence. I'm pretty sure The Cardiacs are gonna win this though, having a bigger fan base around here.

Primus for me: Les Claypool is one hell of a bass player; his band covers both The Residents and Rush...and besides: his favorite movies include Dr. Strangelove, A Face in the Crowd, and There Will Be Blood...

two very exentric 80s expereimental rock bands, who blended ether punk or funk with prog, or anything else, who have a main man, brains, Tim Smiths or Les Claypools, who is your favourite band of vs
