It's on their official homepage.  Just click on the song titles for the lyrics to each song on the album.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I don't know if Sherry is posting much these days, but I'm pretty sure she has them if you can not find them in the internet. I'm sincerely hoping she is ok, because I have not seen, or heard from her at all, even in this board, and that is sad ... I have a feeling she is not doing too well if the recent events, and I would like to cheer her up ...

Hey Moshkito, I just saw this thread and wondered what "recent events" you were talking about?  Pete's death?  Hadn't seen him for years.

Anyway, as you now know all is going VERY well.  The new Flash album, "Flash featuring Ray Bennett & Colin Carter"  was released May 21, 2013 on Cleopatra Records!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Chuck, but I'm a peaceful soul, wouldn't kick anyone, anywhere.  Smile

Just to make it easy to "snag" the new Flash CD...

Unfortunately, for an official website there are several misspellings in the lyrics that give it a less than official look.

“Grey hazes is lifting”
“awaken now you’re other self”
“Far way a ship rides on a raging storm”
“On a distance shore, so many fought and fell”

And that’s just the first album.

Whoever did the keying was too lazy to proofread I guess.

Still, the new Flash CD kicks butt!

Hi David and Robert (Brainstormer),

Sorry for the incorrect lyrics and typos.  I hate to see that happen, too.

Psychosync.info isn't an official band site and the band isn't responsible for any of the material found there, though they have tried to help with information from time to time.  It's a fan site that has been maintained by a fan for many, many years as a labor of love.  The band doesn't yet have its own site, they've been totally focussed on the music since the reunion, so we're linking to this fan site for now because it has the best all-around collection of info available at present, and we're glad to have the opportunity to acknowledge this fan's loyalty and effort..

Now that the new CD is done, I've asked Ray and Colin to correct the lyrics and we'll pass them along to the site asap.

Well, that was fast!  I asked Ray and Colin for the lyrics and Ray sent his two songs right away.  Still waiting to hear from Colin.

I'll post them here to speed things up.

Morning Haze  ©1971 Ray Bennett

Mysteries that stay unsolved
Fumbling for that pot of gold
Understanding lacks in days gone by

Lions call or motor car
Vision halts, can't see too far
Looking through a haze from today, darkness stops the way

Come the dawn
Excite me
Grey haze is lifting
I can see now

Grey lady peeps through her window
Wonders on my colours
She can't really see through morning haze

Evening falls and smothers her window
She can't see no more
The day was too short, but green eyes met mine

Come the dawn
Excite me
Grey haze is lifting
I can see now

Do do do ………… etc

Loving slumber warms my heart
My dreams are pierced now by you
Spirit rises, greeting morning haze

Evening falls and smothers her window
She can't see no more
The day was too short, but green eyes met mine

Come the dawn
Excite me
Grey haze is lifting
I can see now

Come the dawn
Excite me
Grey haze is lifting
I can see now

Come the dawn
Excite me
Grey haze is lifting
I can see now

Ah Ah Ah Ah
Ah Ah Ah Ah

Children Of The Universe
© 1971 Ray Bennett

Children of the universe
As much as sky and seaway
You have a right to be here

Keep your soul in company
With graceful spirit 'round you
Be alive with sympathy

La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La oh oh oh oh

All the worldly prophets say
Believe in guardian angels
Banish thoughts of misery

Be prepared to live your life
With little on your table
Save your hunger for your soul

La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La oh oh oh oh

When the crimson ribbon light of dawn surprises you
Awaken now your other self
When the darkness demons call your name out loud and clear
It must be known you cannot hear

Love the girl and feel the world
Get a little warmer
Feel the touch of ecstasy

Maybe someday we will learn
As much as all we need to
And you can be a child again

La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La oh oh oh oh

When the princess fell to sleep and angel voices sing
And you set free your darkness fears
When the crimson ribbon light of dawn surprises you
Awaken now your other self

(Instrumental)

Children of the universe
As much as sky and seaway
You have a right to be here

Keep your soul in company
With graceful spirit 'round you
Be alive with sympathy

La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La Ouvya, Ouvya
La oh oh oh oh

Hi Sherry,

Thanks for clearing that up. That was my inner English teacher you saw in action there. Right now I'm trying to keep him from informing you of the typos in your own post.

Anyway, glad I could help get the ball rolling on that, and that Ray and Colin were able to respond so quickly. All three Flash albums have been longtime favorites of mine, esp. the first.

Since this thread is about the lyrics, what's the origin of "La Ouvya"? Was it a more-or-less random chant or is there a specific source?

Typos...plural?  i found one and corrected it, but where's the other, Teach?  Do tell. You've got me scratching my head!  Does this mean I get an A-?

La Ouvya was carefully crafted to fit, Ray says.Wink  No meaning or source.

So glad you like the music.  Have you got the new one yet?  Did you go to the facebook site and "Like" them?  Lots of stuff going on over there...

Ah...I  think you'll find either spelling is correct, focused or focussed.

Hope you like the new music.
