He was a true surviver in the music biz having had a top ten UK hit with the song How Wonderful You Are and released solo albums sporadically with a wide style of music from prog to jazzy R&B. RIP.

the Spencer Davies Group can not only be viewd as abnd but also an institution of rock. Like Alan Bown Set, Graham Bond Organisation and Long John Baldry.were factories and breweries of future musicians ot come.

Spencer Davis was the man in the mid-60s.....he had "cool" down to a science.  Plus, he had great taste in music and could suss out talent a mile away.

Two Texas legends passed this week - Jerry Jeff Walker and Billy Joe Shaver.  I've seen the two so many times in my 10 years deep in the heart o' that it's tough to belive I can't drive over the Gruene Hall or Floore's Country Store and see one of these guys crack me up or make me break down in tears, sometimes in the same song.

Let 'em roll, let 'em roll, thay've all gone to Dallas, rest their souls.

Very sad. Although the obituaries will, rightly, concentrate on Bond, for me his finest performance was in The Hill as the convicted RSM. A towering performance of humanity in a brutal situation.

RIP

RIP.  I POOH was a big part of my entry into Italian prog in the early 80's when I was in Sicilia and Puglia, even though they are not always solid prog, they did create some excellent memories for me.  Covid has been so evil to the world.
