How about a top five? 5 is easy:
(1) Simple Sister (one of the greatest guitar/bass songs ever) (2) A Whiter Shade of Pale (lyrics sound really intelligent but no idea what the hell it means) (3) Bringing Home the Bacon (4) Conquistador (a little too orchestral but still strong) (5) Boredom (their most underrated song) |

If you like the live album then feel free to check out any of their studio albums. The first one, Shine on Brightly, A Salty Dog and Grand Hotel are the best to start with IMO. As for me, it's hard to narrow it down to just ten, but here goes: Grand Hotel For Liquorice John Repent Walpurgis In Held ‘Twas in I Shine on Brightly A Salty Dog Too Much Between Us Pilgrims Progress Fires (Which Burnt Brightly) Homburg Honorable mentions: Toujours L'Amour Kaliedoscope The Dead Man’s Dream Wreck of the Hesperus Song for a Dreamer Long Gone Geek Power Failure In the Wee Small Hours of Sixpence Edited by AreYouHuman - August 29 2013 at 17:52 |

The only album I have is the Live With The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra but its massive. Love everything on it although I've always had a soft spot for A Salty Dog which of course inspired that album

Best Procol track is Kaleidoscope.
Pilgrim's Progress is like much of the early work of Jack Bruce - quite unique in composition. You won't find much to compare to it.
In Held 'Twas In I
Shine On Brightly Skip Softly My Moonbams Conquistador Repent Walpurgis A Salty Dog Too Much Between Us A Christmas Camel

I think they only managed about three quality songs - Whiter Shade; Homburg; Salty Dog, they were goodies though.
