I'm assuming you've only heard Heresie? Not a good starting point in my opinion. For their more acoustic, chamber period go for Ceux du Duhors; for more electric, electronic and rocking go for Heatwave.

I've heard some of their work and I'm just not into the dark, dank, chanting, slice of hell atmospheres. Is there a brighter side to this group that I'm missing??
 
As musicians they are all superb.
