Topic: Prog/Non Prog Battle: Traffic vs Cream Posted: January 17 2014 at 22:43 |
Bands listed and not listed in the PA database but have a strong connection through Blind Faith and Steve Winwood. Which one do you prefer?

Cream + Traffic = Blind Faith - (Clapton +.Winwood) = score draw.
Good mess of Pysch / prog / heavy rock / soul / blues jammin' live albums. Fine bands both but Clapton live is where he belongs (not the studio). Cream ... just.

I'll go for TRAFFIC in this case (esp. for 'Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys). CREAM are pretty bloody good, too.

I choose for Traffic, no doubt, but Cream had a lot of quality too.

Definitely Cream. Never liked Traffic particularly, and Cream were really the first band to take back blues to America and so on (IMO)

Traffic all the way. Barleycorn is a highlight and I love Low Spark almost equally.

Don't think traffic are very good. Not very good composers. But I haven't heard much I guess. Cream crap on them from what I've heard. Wheels of fire is better than traffic

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Traffic. Their debut album (with Dave Mason), John Barleycorn Must Die and Low Spark of High Heeled Boys are all superlative albums. The only Cream album I really care about is Fresh Cream. Great blues.

I like both, but I prefer Traffic.
