I really hate how hard it is to hear some of the great music from Japan. Oh sure some stuff is on i-Tunes, but alot is just not easily available and difficult to findt. And the thing I don't get is that Japan has some of the best recording/remastering technology in the world and they spend so much dedicated time to every other countries music but their own. They painstakingly involve teams of people to faithfully reproduce mini lps of greater and lesser known artists. So long as they originated from somewhere else in  the world.Return on investment, I guess.
But there is lots of great stuff to listen to from Japanese artists and I for one highly recommend searching them out. Here's a short list of artists I recommend. Add to it as you feel free too.
Fragile
Naniwa Express
Happy Family
Stomu Yamash'ta
Kennedy!
Jun Fukamachi
Ponta Murakami
Kenso
Crosswind
Ain Soph
Bi Kyo Ran
