I just thought it was neat that in the spring of 1978, one album would look into man's future and another into man's past. Both have become personal favorites in my collection.

Any thoughts?

After some thought, Pyramid.

The Man-Machine, along with Trans-Europe Express, is arguably Kraftwerk's finest hour. The synth sounds are glorious.

I guess APP...don't really care for either though.

Ditto, except I didn't vote for either.

Kraftwerk by a slim margin for me. Hutter's mini-moog soloing around seals the deal for me !!

I do like that Kraftwerk album, but I've heard that APP album, so won't vote.

I find the APP albums I have heard a little boring to be honest.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

While both may be concerned with the future, only one album really *was* the future: Kraftwerk.

Neither

For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Anyone who doesn't get this, I question whether they have the funk at all, or even have a robot soul:

APP has many good tunes and a lovely, lush sound. Not every album is consistent, and Pyramid certainly submerges into the boredom at times but it's a good album (and never as boring as say, Autobahn, though few things are). TMM was annoying as I recall.
