Two if the leaders of their respective bands (Tears for Fears and Talk Talk) both produced art rock related New wave and fused lot of genres into a original sound pool.

I have to give a "Shout! Shout! Let it all out" to Roland.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

A pretty good match-up here.  Both extremely strong musicians.  Voted for Mark Hollis.

I prefer Roland's voice, but Mark Hollis made stronger albums in those later years of Talk Talk. The Seeds of Love however did have moments of abstract beauty.

Impressed: Mark Hollis, because Talk Talk was quite an innovative band.

But I like Roland Orzabal's music better. He is not very innovating, but a terrific songwriter. I vote for him.

Being that I'm not a fan of Talk Talk experimentalism in their later albums I'll have to go with Roland. I like everything that he's ever done and like the fact the he's not ashamed of his music being pop. Also, Mark Hollis solo album is boring as hell.

Even if you match early Talk Talk with early TFF, I cannot help being impressed with Hollis' pop voice. See the DVD Live in Montreux and just bob your head in amazement!
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
