First one with a preference for Brave New World - The End. Haven't listened to Bubu in ages but still spin Impressions on Reading... on a regular basis. Probably my favorite one album wonder ever.

You might have found it harder with my original idea for this poll: Zanov's Green Ray vs.the Brave New World album as those were the two albums I've been returning to the most of late. I opted for the Bubu, and decided to do it by track, because I hear significant resemblances in a passage in both songs (think I chose the right Bubu track). Though I used to play Bubu a lot, I haven't been for quite a long time either.
Impressions... is an amazing album. I've had it for years, and listened to it many times and always loved it, but recently I found my favourite headphones again (just ear buds, but they have great sound) and listening to the album I heard many nuances that I just seemed to have missed before, making it totally fresh. Wow. Wonderful album to me.

It would have been two favorites of mine set up gainst each other but for the full album-experience; I know I would have gone for Green Ray. Its my favorite album of the year, favorite discovery in a long while and I'm glad you like it too. I must have played it about 20-25 times in just the last couple of months. I rarely have have hang ups like this. Just seeing my set of headphones (which I haven't been able to locate for three days) makes me want to listen to it once more.

I adore the album. I'm actually quite OCD (with an emphasis on the obsessive side) so I will listen to some albums that really appeal to me over-and-over-and-over again in the same day -- Green Ray has been one such album. I've now mislaid those ear buds again, damn.... I enjoy the later Zanov albums as well (especially In Course of Time at this time), but not as much as Green Ray, which is outstanding.
The albums that I have probably been playing the most over the summer include Zanov, Mandingo, Vladimir Cosma, Franco Leprino, and Bobby Beausoleil..., and Egisto Macchi, Igor Wakhevitch, Ennio Morricone and Art Zoyd are never far from my ears. But seeing again Pierre acknowledge the TV show Utopia (particularly fitting for a Brave New World poll) I'm gone play one of my all-time faves, Allesandro Brugnolini's Utopia right now, albeit on my inferior yet highly stylish headphones.

Nice. I've actually never heard that before. The only of his I have is Utopia and I'd been meaning to check out Underground and Overground at some time. Speaking Italian library music, do you have any Piero Umiliani? I love his La Ragazzi Fuori Strada.

^Best selection of summer hits ever! edit: Logan, four posts ago.
Myself I've been listening to large doses of Ahmed Abdul-Malik, Zanov. Henri Texier (deep, but really cozy), Emerald Web - The Stargate Tapes (you used to listen to New Age music didn't you?), selected Ahmad Jamal, Kosmischer Laufer, Umberto, Egisto Macchi (as always) and ELO! + lots of old shellac/78rpm's.

I don't know about that show. But it seems I should find out what it is.

Hey. I got that one too, and if you haven't got it start searching for Piero's La Ragazza Dalla Pelle di Luna from 1971 as well. Stunning album
