Does PA allow or have a forum for people wanting to sell or trade music? I've been looking around an don't see anything other than the 'News from Official Prog Suppliers'. Not sure if private sales are allowed here.

I suppose admin would have to answer that, but I see no issue with it as long as it isn’t bootlegs being flogged, which would be against the rules.

I would certainly buy anything I found interesting.

I would love a buy/sell thread. I got some cds and lps I’m looking to get into others hands.

If you use PayPal goods/service as a means of payment it’s pretty scam proof and safe

I sort of felt the same way, so as a follow up question, which forum would think is the most appropriate.

I have several 80's Metal LP's that would be considered Mint quality if not for the fact that they have been opened and played few times, true audiophile quality.

I’d get in on it.

A nice way to be social, great for the music community and supports the honor system of buying, selling or trading.

I think their a lot of great people on this site, so yeah I’d be all for it.

So, last question...which forum section do you think would be the best one to post to?

Unless there is direct approval from site ownership the answer here is a hard NO. There are potential liability issues with hosting private sales that we will not subject the site to.

The best solution is to put your items up for sale on a website designed to handle such things and then let people on PA know about the sale and provide links to the site where your items are on sale.

Hmmm, I think if clear outlines are set as in “you can only use PayPal goods and services to pay” since there is really safe buyers insurance. Require tracking number etc I feel like it’s pretty harmless. Even reddit has several buy/sell subreddits.

^Reddit is not progarchives.com. The answer is no, unless there is site ownership approval. As Easy Money said, there are sites specifically designed for such things.
