Help me remember this band's name!

   oh man..i could certainly use some help with this...
I had just recently gotten this album by this fairly obscure prog band and was listening to it quite frequently when i had to move up north to Canada and had to leave all my thousands of albums behind!!!
I really want to get it again, but now for the life of me i can't remember the bands name!
Unfortunately, I can't give you all too much to go on either, other than they sounded a lot like early King Crimson (circa Schizoid Man and Poseidon), had a mellotron, and had a part of the album where they told a joke about a 'homosexual' complaining about a fly in his soup - oh yeah, and i just remembered part of the lyrics just now, something about people taking off their bathing suits and going into the water to the sound of gypsy flutes

	haha, thanks a lot! actually, i've been trying to remember that band's name for the last 3 damn months and just 5 minutes after i made that post it came to me haha East of Eden the album was Mercator Projected (1969)
