1. Ganger - Hammock Style
2. Labradford - Prazision LP
3. Grails - Burning Off Impurities
4. Tortoise - TNT
5. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
6. Mogwai - Happy Songs for Happy People
7. Gregor Samsa - 55:12
8. Windy and Carl - Depths
9. Stereolab - Emperor Tomato Ketchup
10. Yndi Halda - Enjoy Eternal Bliss

These are my current favourites. I haven't heard Mi Media Naranja yet but from the songs I listened too on last.fm it sounds like their best album. All recommendations are welcome.

I love Sigur Ros as well. I agree that ( ) was the best but I personally preferred Takk over Agaetis Byrjun.

Get some nice headphones, a rainy/gray day, and put Agaetis Byrjun on.  Its magic.  Even without the rainy/gray day its brilliant.  Took me some time before I really loved that album, but once you hit that point there's no turning back.

^Agreed about Agaetis.

This list is too difficult to make, really. The only way I can do it is by keeping it to one album per band.

Godspeed - Lift Your Skinny Fists...
Sigur Ros - ( )
Mogwai - Happy Songs for Happy People
The Samuel Jackson Five - Easily Misunderstood
Tortoise - TNT
Mono - You Are There
Do Make Say Think - & Yet & Yet
Explosions in the Sky - The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place
Maserati - Inventions for the New Season
Russian Circles - Enter
Magyar Posse - Random Avenger

Ah, that's 11. Whatev. I love this stuff.

Also, lukedunne, you must hear Mi Media Naranja. I think it's the best of Labradford's works.
