Cry

I saw him a bunch of times in the 80's and 90's.

Truly a master of the bass, and a great performer.

-------------
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

One of the greatest vocalists I've ever heard.  I worshipped the guy.  I'll miss him lots :(

This is truly a tragedy, not just for Prog but for all music as well.  Cry

I'm going to a funeral
I'm going to a funeral dressed in white
I'm going to a night club
I'm going to a night club to sleep with night
And I'm not going with you
No
Love is no longer a comfort
Fantastic times are forgotten
My heart is hung down with the blackest of greys and I'm feeling...

(from Weird of Hermiston)

There will never be anyone like Jack Bruce again.  A great poet, a bassist who was as at home in jazz as he was in rock, and a giant among musicians for all time.

One of the great bass players, an influence on my playing (and he was born on the same day as me).
Badge is still one of my favourite songs to play.
RIP.

One of my favourite bassists and vocalists. Rest in peace. Unhappy

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.

Jack Bruce was to me ( side to side with Jonh Entwistle ), the Grandfathers of all progressive rock bass player, a so impressive musician  which raised  the bass guitar from a simple compass marker to a  "melodic builder" and solo instrument !!! I remember my first audition of CREAM  "Disrealli Gears" albun and WEST, BRUCE & LAING " Whatever Turns You On "  when the Bruce's bass lines "shake" my mind. Rest in peace Jack !!!

As I stated in another post, Jack Bruce was as much a part of my youth as John Lennon was. It will be a long time before I listen to any of Jack's solo or Cream albums. RIP Jack. Broken Heart

Well, that stinks. I've been a Cream nut ever since hearing "White Room" for the first time.

RIP Jack.
