A very good friend (and fellow music fan) of ours just sent us this sad news item about a fatal carbon monoxide leak in a recording space in Passaic, NJ: http://www.northjersey.com/news/officials-2-dead-12-hospitalized-in-passaic-incident-involving-carbon-monoxide-1.1147822" rel="nofollow - http://www.northjersey.com/news/officials-2-dead-12-hospitalized-in-passaic-incident-involving-carbon-monoxide-1.1147822 Among the musicians involved were Sal Marrano, Tom Monda and Ben Karas of Thank You Scientist, one of the best modern prog bands to come out of the US in the past few years. Thankfully, they managed to leave the building before things could get worse, and are now well on the way to recovery. However, two musicians who were in the room next to theirs were not so lucky, and succumbed to the poisoning. So very sad to hear, especially so close to the holidays. Our thoughts go to the families of those two young musicians whose death might have easily been avoided. |

Holy cow. Good to hear the boys are recovering, but this is just so sad. Heart is out to those that passed. ------------- Crushed like a rose in the riverflow. |
