From the Symphonic Conference (really? LOL) we have the winner of a first round matchup with Maudlin of the Well.

From Sweden

BO HANSSON!!!!

From the Heavy Prog Conference we have the winner of a surprisingly.. hell SHOCKINGLY close death matchup with Le Orme

From Canada!!

RUSH!!!!

Vegas has installed Rush as a 30 vote favorite. However can Hansson keep it close. No but we shall see!!

You can't lose with the Swedes

Don't know how many Rush fanboys are left.
Whatever the case, my vote goes to Bo this time, and at least temporarily Bo is leading the poll.

enough are left I suppose.  While Bo has  the lead.  Le Orme jumped out to a double digit lead and the Rush army slowly reeled them back in.  Even as much as I love Bo, he doesn't have the core group of fans the site has of Orme (RPI) fans.  It is nice to see him with an early lead, but suspect Rush will quickly pull away.

Nice to see him make it this far though, even more that perhaps some might be introduced to him. He isn't exactly a household name in prog, especially to younger listeners.

I still think Bo is annoying. Can't believe they beat Maudlin of the Well. But Bo is form the 70's so i guess it makes sense.

Yup....Rush is from the 70's too, but better than Bo..That is my basis for voting.

Bo Hansson? Ummm...wasn't he in the original "Walking Tall" movie? Just kidding. As much as I dislike voting for Rush in any poll, I'll have to choose them here.

I don't think Symph is the right place for Bo Hansson. My vote goes to him.

First time hearing Bo Hansson, looks like another band to explore. Thumbs Up
Even though I like some of Rush's stuff, was never a huge fan...I am probably one of the few who liked their very first album without Neal.  Anyway, for beating out Le Orme, I choose Bo.

Interesting match-up, and an unfortunate one.  Still, Bo Hansson is holding his own.  Yet, I vote Rush.

Clap cool.  In a rare moment of dead seriousness. It was part of the reason I selected him.  Great albums, a lot of a historical import/influence but definitely not the best of known.  However he has handled himself well judging by the 1st round win, and showing well against Rush. Those who really know Bo.. love Bo.  A lot of quality music to found in exploring him.

Clap  that makes me happy man. Some good of all the fun and silliness.  Hope you do and do enjoy his music.  The Lord of the Rings is a stone-cold atmospheric classic, but I think I have to come to enjoy the Magician's Hat album even more.

You will not regret it! Bo's music, among other things, does not sound as dated as the output of many much better-known bands or artists.

It's that atmosphere those albums have... I'm not talented enough with words as you are to attempt to describe it.. but damned if it isn't there. Clap

I listened 'Lord of the Rings' yesterday...it was the atmosphere that has stayed in my head...expecting to enjoy it more on subsequent listens.
Also noticed that Mike Oldfield has drawn lots of influence off Bo Hansson.
Thanks for the poll Micky
