From the Symphonic Conference we have Yes!!

From the Rio/Avant Conference we have Frank Zappa/M.O.I

Vegas has Yes as a 20 vote favorite. Can Uncle Frank pull the upset, not likely but he is capable of keeping it close and respectable. Will he? We shall see!

Yes and Rush could do the 'battle of the castrati". My vote goes to Zappa!

This one's kinda hard actually...it will take me more than 2 seconds to decide. Hmmmm....

I'll give it to Zappa as Yes are probably gonna win this one.

I do love upsets and underdogs... but can't and won't vote against Yes.  Of the biggies still remaining.. they are by far my favorite.

Ahhh boy, what to do...
I prob listen to Yes more often lately, but my past life as a Zappa fanatic looms large. Zappa it is.

Respect Zappa but only like a few of his albums. Yes has also produced many things I am not overly fond of but others I absolutely love.

Zappa for me...he never embarrassd himself (unless it was on purpose) and was consistently interesting.  If Yes had retired after Drama and left that initial body of work I might have voted for them Wink

I can only honestly vote for Yes.  I have deep respect for Uncle Frank but, as I have said before, I find his output quite sketchy.  For example, I love Hot Rats but can't stand We're Only In It For the Money.

definitely closer than what I thought.. unless it is like Marillion-f**king Tull and Zappa is shooting his bolt like Marillion did early and will fade..

interesting because Zappa has not exactly been a tournament powerhouse.. barely escaped the 1st round IIRC. Oh yeah.. needed OT to advance.

There is only one Uncle Frank, but there are several iterations of Yes, and they seem to get more annoying as they progress, or digress as it were.
