We are a band from Montreal, Canada. We released our first album independently and just started playing in bars in and around Montreal. We incorporate many different styles in our music but I think we do have some prog influences. Our self-titled debut album is available for free download on our bandcamp. We are currently recording our second album. I am eager to get feedback and start sharing my thoughts on music on this forum!

Here are links to get to know us. Please feel free to like and share our music if you feel so inclined.

Hello there, do you sell / make your album publicly available? I can see no indication of this and this is required for consideration to PA.

Music sounds good, can't decide which subgenre you might be evaluated for, perhaps Crossover?

Currently we only have physical copies for sale 10$ each at our shows. But we do have our Bandcamp release available for free and have a paypal account linked for donations.

We will be releasing 3 more songs from our self-titled debut album in the next few weeks on Youtube and our Bandcamp. The song ''Yé Mort'' will remain a physical album exclusive.

Listened to the five tracks currently on bandcamp, and got a mostly alternative/gothic rock feel from them - with a few proggy instrumental flourishes thrown in. It depends on what the remaining tracks sound like too, of course, but I feel that Crossover Prog is indeed the only sub where this music might fit...and that a positive outcome there would be by no means a certainty. To my own ears what I have heard so far is just a fraction on the light side with regard to its prog content for inclusion on a site like ours - pleasant enough music, it must be said...but I feel it won't be an easy decision for the team at all.

If you edit your topic title to include the word 'Crossover' in it somewhere, then someone from that team should pick the suggestion up, and maybe add some thoughts here... but ideally we need to wait for the rest of the tracks to be made available for streaming, since the five we have so far certainly don't make this a clear cut case imho.

Great News! Some of our songs will be played on a webradio ( http://www.houseofprog.com/" rel="nofollow - www.houseofprog.com ). The show is called ''The Waiting Room'' and will be aired tomorrow from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST/EDT. I am not 100% sure but I would not be surprised to learn this forum had something to do with it. Thanks again for the warm welcome in your community.

And you will be pleased to know that your evaluation in Crossover is now under way, and you can follow its progress here: http://progfreak.com/Doping-Hornets-163003.html?path=pa/recent" rel="nofollow - http://progfreak.com/Doping-Hornets-163003.html?path=pa/recent . You need three 'yes' votes (represented by white ticks on a green background in the chart that this link points to) in order to be cleared for addition. Smile

Anyone who can't get to a radio to hear the show when it airs live can catch the recording on mixcloud at any time to suit them: https://www.mixcloud.com/marty-dorfman/" rel="nofollow - https://www.mixcloud.com/marty-dorfman/ . Smile
