If Poseidon had the Gilmour solo...KC this time.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

The solo is the only thing interesting to me and IMO the children's choir was a poor choice.

I indeed love Greg's vocal in this song, Pete Giles' bass, and the Mellotron, but seriously, Gilmour's solo backed with Wright's keyboards in this commercial, hit single tune will always win me over. To confess, possibly my ultimate favourite guitar solo EVER. And I've heard quite a few.............

easy one. One is good.. the other not so much so and would be happy to live the rest of my life without turning on a radio and hearing the damn thing played again..

Wake of Poseidon. I do love Another Brick, but Poseidon is in another league entirely. Pure prog joy.

King Crimson

had there not been a song from The Wall and one before that, I would probably have voted for PF.

Easy vote, with one liked song from 1970, and one annoying piece of shyte. Ha ha!

I honestly wish people would stop using the word "sh*t" to express disliking for a song...

My next idea for a poll is:

Whitney Houston - How Will I Know vs King Crimson - Starless

I mean that Whitney-song was a no. 1 hit for weeks and obviously much more known but I'm hoping Starless stands a fair chance up against it - as this is a progforum.

obviously it's not up to me to decide, I just meant it's a rather bad idea, that's all.

^of course I'm not going to actually make that poll. I just wrote what I did instead of: How did you think this poll was going to end?

Tough choice - I've never had the ItWoP album so I've only listened to the title track a few times, but I've never really remembered much about it (other than it being vaguely like Epitaph) so to me, that's a few points off for it. I think a fairer comparison would be the whole Another Brick In The Wall suite (Pt 1, The Happiest Days of Our Lives and Pt 2; maybe Pt 3 at the end for good measure) just because the total track timer would be closer.

Nevertheless, I just listened to ItWoP and it has earned my vote.

Really donīt like to vote against Floyd, but In the Wake is just absolutely so much better song than Another Brick. This really is a little bit silly poll, but who cares...
