Jeff was a motherhumper.....those Toto dudes sure had the chops, they just carried things out in such a mainstream fashion that the talent seemed almost unnoticeable.

Love the early Toto songs, especially those on the debut album. And appreciate their contributions to the Triumvirat album Russian Roulette.

Isolation is a solid album, probably my favorite Toto album.....probably because that AOR hot shot Kimball isn't around anymore.  Lukather raves and Poccoro shines....but it's still Toto, which means that no matter how hot the instrumentals get, there's always that slick shine on the surface.  It's true that pop music doesn't get much better than "Change of Heart", but I turn to Toto only a few times a year, sometimes even less.....it's just far too well-planned, no spontaneity, no surprises, just solid Toto music.  One listen and....put it back on the shelf for another year or two.
