Hello, I'm an ornamental plants student, amateur musician (guitar & bass) and prog enthusiast from Zagreb, Croatia. After a long years of struggling, I finally found someone (keyboard player and drummer) with whom I can practice and play my pieces that aren't too complex, but reflect influences from lighter prog (Camel, Focus, PFM) and contemporary jazz (Pat Metheny, Carla Bley), and I hope we will soon step out of a garage. Also, after years of following this site I decided created an account here.

I listen to quite broad range of music (although not much of that can be heard on radio and in clubs these days), and it's quite hard to point out a few prog (and related) artists I listen to the most, but according to last.fm these are: Camel, Soft Machine, Pat Metheny Group, Le Orme, Eloy, Miles Davis, Jean-Luc Ponty and Leb i Sol.
Great artists that I like and consider to be at their peak these days are: Neal Morse, Steven Wilson (I hope he's not at constant downfall since "The Raven..."), Anat Cohen, Richard Galliano, Dewa Budjana, etc.

...and my PA name is a wordplay on my surname (Hozjan), not only a great Popol Vuh album.

Cheers!

Cheers!

I've been watching the Ken Burns Jazz doc and though I tend to be more of a Coltrane man, I've been appreciating Miles more.

Welcome.
