Hello people,as the title says i'm looking for recomendations on rock bands where the keyboard plays an important part, not just as mere ambiance or background electronics...just to be clear, dismiss any recomendations like Genesis for instance, because i already have tons of material along those lines

i really like Beardfish and Atomic Rooster, and that's the type of stuff i', looking for,i wouldn't mind also if you recomend me stuff similar to the keboard heavy kings Deep Purple...

thanks in advance guys

btw ,this is my first post,i hope to be an active member of this awesome comunity, and sorry for typos, english is like, not my main language

Emerson Lake & Palmer (symfo)
Le Orme (symfo)
PFM (symfo)
Grand Funk Railroad (hardrock)

and of course the usual suspects

Deep Purple (hardrock)
Uriah Heep (hardrock)
Camel (symfo)

I think there's so many bands using keyboards to a great extend. I named the old ones, but newer bands like Saga (3 keyboardplayers in the band) or Flower Kings or Spock's Beard use lots of keyboards.
But because you said 'organ'  I went with old bands, because the use more organ.

Let's not forget Renaissance and Triumvirat.

A lot of keyboards were also used in Eloy's music.

If you like Atomic Rooster and Deep Purple you'll probably like Birth Control.

The often forgotten Mountain did have a keyboard player in their line-up, but it's true that it wasn't the most prominent instrument in their music (but I really dig the keyboard touches in "Nantucket Sleighride", especially the version on the live album Twin Peaks).
Some doom/gothic-metal bands from the 90's also have some nice keyboard parts, like the early Amorphis - if you can accept deep growling vocals, of course.

Japan has produced many great bands (not all are trios) of this ilk. Some are instrumental, some record both instrumentals and songs for the same album, like Gerard. Some of my favorites:

Ars Nova (start with Transi and The Goddess of Darkness, highly recommended!)
Deja Vu (one stellar album called Baroque of the Future)
Gerard (trio most of the time, some vocals; start with the all-instrumental Live at Marseille)
Kenso (dual keys, amazing band, but these guys are a heavy fusion quintet)
Pochakaite Malko (dual keys on first album)
Motoi Sakuraba (the keyboardist from Deja Vu, he has many solo albums)
Social Tension (the first album, MacBethia, is a classic)

If ya can stand something in the jazz rock bag, hear some Niacin. Hammond / bass / drums power trio, you will rarely hear so much rocking B3 per square inch of magnetic tape. Live album Blood, Sweat and Beers maketh a great starting point.

I guess the most obvious here is Deep Purple, which you already mentioned. And I guess you should already know "In A Gadda Da Vida" by Iron Butterfly, but if by some weird chance you haven't heard that one, check it out right away. And since many full prog bands have been recommended, I notice Van Der Graaf Generator hasn't been mentioned yet, however they can get rather heavy, even if they don't have guitars, the sax can take the heavy guitars place very well, and Hamills vocals can get rather harsh. Check out "The Sleepwalkers" and "La Rossa".

Obviously Deep Purple with all of their offshoots - After all these years I still find the keyboard guitar opening to Tarot Woman (Rainbow) a full on musical adrenaline rush.

I concur, an amazing album, one of Sabb's best, but Rick only played on the song "Sabbra Cadabra."

Tony plays the keyboards (synthesizer, piano, organ) on "Killing Yourself To Live," "Who Are You" and "Looking For Today," and the harpsichord on "Fluff."

Geezer played synth & Mellotron on "Who Are You," and Ozzy also played some synth on that one, plus "Killing Yourself."

Many of your vintage & contemporary HeavyProg and Psych bands have a good dirty mix of organ and buzz-saw guitar, for instance;

Because it bears repeating! This here is maximum keyboard heaviosity & essential listening for anyone who wants to hear a talented ivory-abuser go absolutey apesh*t on classic keyboards of all kinds. A full on prog album rather than 'just' hard rock, but it is prog that tramples through your brain in lead boots.

This lady can sing anything, there is some amazing organ here, and the band as a whole cover pretty well every possible base in the prog World.

Welcome to PA!  Great place.

One of my favorite hard-rock LPs that incorporates some great keyboards is "Force It" by UFO.  Leo Lyons, bassist for Ten Years After, played electric piano and Mellotron as well as producing.  Try tracks "Out in the Streets" and "This Kids" for examples:

Uriah Heep as already suggested is the one that came to mind. Cherry Five and Flash might also be worth a look. Not especially heavy but both feature organ strongly.
