I could not find the original poll (just remember someone complaining I didn't like one-word band names...)
Hopefully I remembered them all. Anyway, vote for the name not the artist.

I'm ok with all of them really. I cannot find anything I dislike on these names.

In fact, I'd say that most of these are pretty darn good band names. Yes and Rush are perfect for the positive and energetic music each band produces, and Magma is plain cool. Can is a bit strange, but then again, isn't Can's music?
Guess I'll go with Camel, since the name really doesn't have anything to do with their music (Rajaz aside, perhaps).

Apart from those listed, I'd say Henry Cow is a pretty bad name. great music though.

Yes is just about the worst band name one could have, aside from perhaps just calling your group "The" or "What" or a series of emoticons and symbols.

Rush. I consider them teeny bopper prog.

Can is my favourite name on the list and Rush is my least.
A friend of mine in high school used to buy little bottles of that cleaning solvent, Rush, that is inhaled for a head rush. Nasty and dangerous stuff -- hate it and the company that made/ makes it, plus the stores that sold it to kids, were/are extremely unethical.

Yes is a perfect name for a band that was looking to put out positive powerful music---which they did in spades

Camel. When I search them up on YouTube, I always get annoyed browsing through videos of camels... Who would ever think there were so many?

Yes for me no matter how positive it is meant to be. Always found that name ridiculous and not in a hoho way.

Yeah, I agree. When I was going to concerts in the 70s and 80s you would see the same sort of crowds at a Rush concert as you would say, an AC DC concert or an April Wine concert. Some people were only there only out of patriotism. I always noticed Canadian flags waving around! How ridiculous is that? I'm exposed to classic rock radio on a daily basis and I hear Rush just as much as AC DC. Probably due to the fact that the CRTC fascists have implemented a Canadian content rule so not only do you have to sit through annoying Rush songs like Tom Sawyer and Red Barchetta but we are also bombarded with garbage from BTO, The Tragically Hip and Trooper.

I've always quite liked the name (but shouldn't it be Henrietta Cow?)
Worst names ever have to include: Dream Theater, Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Thief, Tool, IQ, Elephants of Scotland, Urban Trapeze, Knifeworld, Kant Freud Kafka, UK, Boys Club, Supply Demand & Curve (the list goes on)

There aren't many genuinely good band names IMO. I mean....Porcupine Tree? WTF is that about..?

Musical quality aside, Porcupine Tree is a great name. Same goes for Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Hamster Theatre, Crippled Black Phoenix (a color and an animal!), and Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Now can someone find a group name with a number, a color, and an animal?

Worst band name ever: The First International Sex Opera Band. This really is a band name; the band made one album called "Anita". The music is as weird as the band name, and many people will even think it is as bad as the band name (I don't; it's just weird).

I don't think any of these names are either good or bad, just names. I think Van der Graaf Generator is a great name for those fans who are science-minded (even if the name is misspelt). King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is either a great name or a silly name, depending on the mood. But perhaps the best name, because it is very appropriate for the group, is The Residents.
