What an album no filler ,just killer tunes from the strawbs moving in a more prog direction from folk or i would say electric folk rock, the band which featured keyboard wiz rick wakeman .A direct move towards a yes,elp and uriah heep sound don,t believe me ,just take a listen from the grand opening AUTUMN to HERO,S THEME the end .An album rich in narrative,and sound other notable songs ROUND AND ROUND and SAD YOUNG MAN would enjoy some feedback on this,Thanks for reading.

I prefer all the 3 previous Strawbs albums but "Autumn" is a really great song. Such a killer opening. Some folks here might remember that my first post ever on this forum was about this album.

Happen to be listening to it right now. Sort of a turning point for them. Started becoming more proggier. I have a crappy old original Canadian vinyl pressing but still sounds good on my Micro Seiki turntable. I remember this album and the next one, Ghosts being really popular in Montreal when it was released back in '74. Those albums gave us yet something else wondrous to listen to. I tend to group these two albums along with early Genesis and Gentle Giant albums which were also very popular in Quebec.

I've never heard the 2010 remake though.

Definitely a classic album......might be my favorite by them though I also really like Grave New World and Bursting At The Seams....
