Hey guys, I'm fairly new to prog genre (I discovered the genre about 9 months ago) but I have already dug really deep into prog. My favorite bands right now are Wobbler, Anglagard and Univers Zero. I am learning to play guitar and I plan on learning to play the recorder, piano and bassoon eventually. My favorite sub genres are symphonic prog, Avant/RIO, and eclectic prog. I've been a lurker on here for a while and finally decided to make an account so I can talk to other prog fans. All of my friends either hate prog or just aren't that into it like I am. Well that was my intro...

Welcome to PA, Wes! It looks like you're already familiar with a variety of prog subgenres. How did you first become interested in progressive rock?
Also, since you are interested in guitar, recorder, piano and bassoon, I would recommend you check out Renaissance-rock band Gryphon.
