I rarely listens to AC after the band and solonartist went ceperate ways. though i like Welcome to my Nightmare. there is a spessial magic with the dynalic in thw AC band. the rythem section is brilliant, tight and musicians with great variation in style and ability.

Very flexible band, shows influence from both Syd Barret and Pink Floyd. and some the Doors influence. Easy Action and Preties for You are really great games and Killer and Schools Out are hard to compete with. Billion Dollar babies is a classic.

Actually when Cooper sings with hes full voice/clean voice rather then raspuøy , he have a realy powerfull and beutifull clean timbre in hes vocie. yet i have began to realise hes a really a strong vocalist whom has total coktroll over how the voice aught to be sound. Like on Hello Mr Nice Guy and Hello Hooray

There's not going to be many (there's a few but imo not a lot) better guitar tandem then Glen Buxton and Michael Bruce.

i agree and the Dennis Dunway and Niel Smith contribute alot to the tightness and their ability to chift moods and sometimes style in the midle of a track.

I'm surprised to see that the Alice Cooper band isn't on PA.....I recall buying the  early albums up until Schools Out or so....
They certainly seem prog related to me at times....at least as proggy as many listed on the archives here.
How were they missed..?

^ I agree about that. Their first Pretties For You is right out of hte Zappa playbook. It IS prog. Easy Action was more of a psych album. and of course after that they were hard rock and glam metal but the first album is undoubtedly one of the strangest of the 60s!

Everyone should here it. REALLY! Unfortunately no YouTube video for entire album :(

I think the bands heavy nature is like its own and original version of metal/proto-metal. I see how the theatrical influence helps to givw the music another nature. I hear that the band can move from Procol Harum like bluesy / baroque like rock. intence instrumentation remeinds me of Early Gentle Giant with how exlectic yet roots in heavy blues hard rock.

I would reccomen to go further to Billion Dollar Baby, Brilliant album Bob Ezrin did a good job on that.
