Anyone here familiar with this Italian singer and her discography? My first introduction to her was the classical album Mélodie Passagère, which I really love, and then I got a bunch of other ones that are much more poppy but for some reason feature a lot of prog-related musicians such as Tony Levin, Gavin Harrison, Jakko Jakszyk, Peter Hammill, Richard Barbieri, Steve Jansen etc. What are her ties to prog exactly and is there anything of interest on her recent albums?

I have enjoyed Alice's music since my teenage years; I know mostly 80's and 90's albums. My favourites: Il sole nella pioggia, Charade and Mezzogiorno sulle Alpi. I also have noticed the presence of prog-related musicians on certain albums, but I wouldn't take it as a hint for the music itself to be prog-related. It's pop: elegant, sophisticated, enjoyable pop. And what a lovely voice! I'm not very familiar with her most recent albums, I personally believe she was at her best in the late 80's and 90's.
