What do you think about this album. Just heard it for the first time and was surprised I hadn't heard it before. Interesting instrumental compositions and the album cover is 5/5!

Pure prog this one and certainly their most accomplished record.
but get them all including Treason and the BBC 'As Curious as it Can Be' and 'Glastonbury Carol'.
Essential stuff.

Definitely awesome. For me, it's significantly better than Midnight Mushrumps, ST and Raindance. Probably 5 star material, must review it some day. The playing is very tight, arrangements sophisticated.

An absolute masterpiece. No question. More modern sounding than their previous records.

I used to love this album but now it sounds a little boring to me. Not very memorable.

I totally love the album-I was lucky to see Gryphon open for Yes in 1974 during the Relayer tour. Gryphon's performance was delightful-one of the best opening acts I've seen.

Same here. I've always wanted to like it, but never could...

It is a very positive album. It makes me feel like after an afternoon nap. One of my favourite prog records. I don't listen to it that often anymore, but I'm sure whenever I do, I'll feel positive feelings.

Yeah same here! Would never sell my vinyl, but I only spin side one occasionally. Gryphon is a highly-level instrumental group that lacks that one member that knows how to sell a story. Otherwise they might have ended up a folky Gentle Giant, I guess.

Same with me--I like it, just don't love it . . . as much as Midnight Mushrumps. Now, there's a great album! The debut is good, too.

Loved it. Haven't heard it for ages. Krumhorns! I taught myself to play the solo piano part in 'Opening Move' by ear. In other words, imperfectly, but I loved that piece.

Loved it when I boughtt the LP (Brain label issue) mid-90’s. When I revisit, still sounds exciting. Can’t go wrong here.
