Curious how this will end, I predict a blowout in rushs favor though I would certainly vote for Harmonium. Please only vote if you've heard both.

This is very close for me. Today I'll vote for Harmonium, tomorrow I don't know, both are great albums that I love to listen quite often.

Just listened Harmonium first time whole through. Really liked it a lot, Depuis l`automne is greater than any piece in Hemispheres, but as a whole it´s Hemispheres to me (my fav Rush album). Many thanx for this poll Doug, really loved flutes and mellotron in Harmonium album, going definitely listen their other albums! This kind of great acoustic music has been in a big listen to me recent years!

Depuis l’automne Is one of my favorite songs ever made. I love both of these albums but Harmonium is just otherworldly to my ears. I can totally understand voting either way here. I’m glad you enjoyed it, I believe it’s actually getting a big remaster this year!

Well, I believe I will buy original vinyl some of these days, I am vintage vinyl guy, not care about remasters. But of course I have bought vinyl reissues too (more easy to get in some vinyls).

But yes, Harmonium is just that kind of prog music that brings you somewhere else, better world.

To me Hemispheres is the least impressive of the Rush seventies 'sci-fi trilogy' . They needed to freshen up their approach and boy did they and in spades! Harmonium , yes I've heard the album and it's certainly a one off. I'll give them my vote but against virtually any other Rush album from 1976-1985 and it would have been different.

I have only heard hemispheres its my most loved rush album and if Harmonium is compared in a poll I must check it out.  I didn't vote.

Just listened to Harmonium for the first time. Decent stuff, catchy mellow folkish tunes (vocals in French?), but Harmonium is the opposite of Rush. Not sure what the common ground is between these bands. Canada?

Rush wins for me.

Harmonium easily for me. I'm not really much of a fan of Hemispheres, while Depuis l'automn and Histoires sans Paroles are enough to make me like Harmonium better.

No vote. The title of the Harmonium album is not too Vivaldi to guess which album is intended , but even after a few days this one is really hard. I think this one should end in a tie. I could vote for either; both are masterpieces.
