I quick searched the Forum and couldn't find a post like the one from MMA, so I decided to start one (point me to the existing topic if any!)

Basically just post which recently Prog albums you bought (CDs, LPs, Tapes, DVDs, Blu-Rays, Digital), anything except streaming (duh!) is valid Tongue

The last Prog albums I purchased (all CD, my format of choice):

My most recent prog purchase was King Crimson - Lizard on CD. I purchased this at the same time as Foals - Antidotes (not in PA), which has largely diverted my attention away from Lizard. However, I have played Lizard enough to think that it may become my favourite King Crimson album, though I doubt it will become one of my favourite albums in general.

Yes really good and a very nice variety of music and ideas. Not a band I'm that familiar with but I've seen a lot of positive comments about this album so went for it.

Breathless by Camel to add to the first four albums which my daughters gave me for Christmas, and Rain Dances and A Live Record which I already had (all on CD).

As you might guess I'm a big fan of the Peter Bardens era of the band, not so much of the later albums.

I've currently got all 6 studio albums in my car CD player.

Thanks, I saw that one. But that topic is for your recent purchases (including every genre), since we're in a Prog Forum I thought we could focus on that here Tongue

Good to see Pavlov's Dog getting some love. They seem to be forgotten very often. It also reminds me that I don't own this one Shocked

Hi,

It's beginning to get strange and weird ... for example, AMAZON is now screwing their database to only show "digital" and no albums or cd's ... and this is bad ... it sends folks to the other place where the prices are doubled and tripled.

Worst of all, is the fact that a lot of these CD's are likely fake companies ripping off the artists, and no one knows the difference, which means that finding some of these things will simply get harder and harder as time goes by.

The hard part? I DO NOT buy songs ... I buy albums ... and most artists do not have the albums for sale ... just songs! It's a complete disgrace and a show that the commercial market does not care about the product ... they just want their money!

Progressive, or any other music can not survive on that alone!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Just reviewed Transiberiana by Banco, which I bought in March. Since then, let's see, K.A and Kohntarkosz by Magma, Infernal Spheres and Time and Stars  by Karda Estra (who probably still give away their albums for free or rather "name-your-price" on Bandcamp - grab them as long as you can!), Confinement by ZOFFF, C'est ca by Fly Pan Am, Parallelograms by Linda Perhacs, Inventions for the New Season by Maserati, Holdrejtek by The Moon and the Nighspirit  (got to know the last four in polls here, thanks!), Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta, Eros by Dün, and Sheila Liked the Rodeo and Have a Nice Trip by The Tear Garden, who are not on PA but should be!
