I tend to be neutral due to mixed feelings, but they made many of their best albums when the fallen Saint set the controls and the other members were still allowed to add some input.

Nick Mason has emerged as the true custodian of the Pink Floyd legacy - which is why I voted him as 'one of the great drummers'.  Due to my age, I only saw Floyd once in 88 - I had a ticket for Saucerful of Secrets but that's pushed back to October.  I was really looking forward to it!  Have been a fan since getting DSOM when I was 13...

Syd Barrett's absolutist, but option 4 was good too.

I have all five of Dave Gilmour's solo albums and no solo albums by any other members of Pink Floyd, so it has to be a vote for Dave Gilmour from me. Smile

As you are "psychedelic" you may like Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports and if you like Dave's first album give a listen to Rick Wright's Wet Dream

I love Richard Wright's Wet Dream. I wrote a five-star review for the album several months ago. Smile

Like with everything else, when we put our egos aside and cooperate among each other, things get a lot better, and Pink Floyd is no exception.

Pink Floyd has produced several five star albums. None of them as solo artists has, although I would rate several four stars.

Saw Floyd for the In the Flesh Tour, A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, and the Division Bell Tour. With or without Waters, still the best concerts I've ever seen.

I wanted to vote neither, but I think there is no doubt that their proper albums were released while Roger Waters was in the band (even though The Wall and The Final Cur are more Roger Waters than Pink Floyd), so my vote goes with the Waters fan club.

No Syd = No Pink Floyd.  Everything after Piper except for bits of Saucerful is boring.  I do not blame the other members of the band for this.  It is entirely Syd's fault.  But nevertheless, I eagerly replay all of his solo material and never play post-Syd PF.  I even saw them perform Atom Heart Mother with a small choir.  Boring.
