Good evening fellow proggers. What do you think about the magic pie albumPure genius,if you ask me.A little bit of everything, melodic and good playing.Melody is soooo underrated in music today, not in prog tough.

Heard it , and .. didn't liked it much..

Ok the music is really nice , but I was disapointed by the singings, very bad singings that I think really dont fit with the instruments.

I downloaded Changes and found it pretty ordinary to be honest. 20 minutes of not a lot. Much prefer Wobbler.

Have a look at their website (linked via this site) and there are a few very long free downloads. Should give you a good idea.

It's very 70's prog - lots of 'tron.

It's not a musical masterpiece, but damn fine music just the same- wonderful melodies, excellent guitar work. This is very optimistic and happy music, quite a pleasant change.

So a few more of us have now heard Magic Pie's "Motions Of Desire"

I was a tad sceptical about the retro-style and it reminds me of Transatlantic-but far better!

Old-school Symphonic Progsters should enjoy this album-for a debut it is excellent.Occasionally promises more than it delivers but something truly great to be found in every track.

Happy now Tore???

Not sure about the title though.....(Love Poo?)

Wobbler is very good. One of the best new bands of this year.If you go to their website they have two high quality, long demos for free download. They remind me of Anglagard and include the keyboardist from the band White Willow.

Yeah Tony,I got turned on to them a month or so ago and really love their album.

A very promising debut.

Motions of Desire=Love Poo??...I never thought of it like that until you said something.

I'd have just stuck with Anglagard instead of buying a Wobbler album.  Anglagard perfected the style years earlier.

Too bad they couldn't hold it together long enough to only make 2 albums and one live album.

I was listening to the MP3 sample for Magic Pie and I enjoyed it.  It's one of the many things on my wanted list.

How is Anglagard's live album?  I own both of their studio albums and love them both to death.
