I've been working in the basement of our new house and started looking
through a couple of boxes of old vinyl that I've been holding on to for
the last umpteen years and I stumbled upon the following release: Here's a descriprtion of it: Promo EP, Virgin Records PR-225 , 1974 Sampler EP. Side A: Gong-You Never Blow Yr Trip Forever (1:45)/ The Isle of Everywhere (3:30), Robert Wyatt-LittleRed Robin Hood Hit the Road (2:55). Side B: Robert Wyatt-Sea Song (2:26), David Bedford-Star's End - excerpt from Side One) (4:27) I am curious....Does anyone else have it, heard about it, comments, etc... ------------- The moon is made by some lame cooper and you can see the idiot has no idea about moons at all - Nikolay Gogol |

Wow! Freebie FM radio samplers from the 70s. Friends and I used to stick around the back of the local FM station and some of the DJs would toss us old promo samplers, some which still sit in my collection today....got some great disco freebies (a sign 'o the times, not taste) and even a late 60s British psychadelia collection (which introduced me to the Syd Barrett era Floyd and Roy Wood's The Move)....but never a Canterbury mix. Nifty find! ------------- I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there..... |
