The two longest tracks from one of my very favourite albums on the heavy side, and one of my favourite albums period, Message's From Books and Dreams (1973). It's an album that is rarely mentioned and has a 3.65 rating with 54 ratings in PA, and at RYM it has a 3.70 with 587 ratings. So much the same rating at both sites even if RYM has way more ratings for it.

I haven't listed a "haven't heard either option", because then I'd say at least try listening to the embeds. Then if they don't seem to appeal or pique your interest, don't continue.

I love both tracks, love the riffage, and I love the whole album.

I know that there are some people into this at the forum, but I don't expect much response.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

This is an album I’ve yet to acquire. I have The Dawn Anew is Coming, but this is supposed to be a different beast. I shall investigate.

I don't have any other Message albums, and I had been meaning to listen to The Dawn Anew Is Coming, so that's a good reminder for me. From Books and Dreams gets pretty heavy indeed (but has contrast) and is very riff-driven. I love it; it's my kind of heavy.

My good friend Michael (Aussiebyrdbrother here at P.A.) keeps urging me to get it, and I do respect and appreciate his recommendations, but this album has slipped through the cracks for me somehow.

I like both, but I would give the edge to Nightmares, so it gets my vote.

I have the first 2 lp's on cd....can't say I play them much...but they are decent. I have been told the best one is Synapse....but I sampled it on You Tube and while more prog oriented perhaps it's not as 'heavy'.
Can't say which track appeals to me more.
