TOP 20 Genesis Songs - #8 If you're a newcomer - in each thread we're voting for the greatest GENESIS songs (following the method agreed upon https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=122278" rel="nofollow - here .) Every participant names three songs in order of preference: First song = 4.5 points Second song = 3 points Third song = 2 points After a couple of days I add up your "points" and announce the winning song for a current spot. Then we move on and vote for the next spot. All points are reset. Our goal is to come up with 20 songs so it might take some time. Voting is closed. No. 8 song is Dancing with the Moonlit Knight 01. | Well, Ripples is not the worst Genesis track (it´s Invisible Touch if not counting "Calling All Stations" as Genesis album) but when talking about Phil´s cheesy tracks (yes I know Rutherford and Banks got credits of Ripples) I prefer More Fool Me. And all the way Genesis cheesy tracks are not essential Genesis for me. |

Firth of Fifth and The Musical Box are already on the list. They were voted in a couple weeks ago (Firth of Fifth in February, actually). Please fix your votes if possible (if not, I will simply award points for no. 1 & 2 songs you mentioned).My vote: Seven Stones Dancing with the Moonlit Knight The Lamia

I'd like to have one Lamb song in TOP10 if it was up to me
 When it comes to Trick, I feel there are at least 3 vastly better songs (Dance, Squonk, Endos) and a couple I still prefer to Ripples (RA&B, Mad Man Moon, Entangled). Ripples have fantastic moments but are almost as saccharine as YOSW |
