Hi
What can you give me in this matter? I want anything obscure/melancholic ambientish and/or darkwaveish or alternativeish (what I cannot name) that revolves around occultism/satanism/other dark themes. No rock, no metal, please mind. Keep as dark as you can.
I can give some examples of what I want, but, since what I am looking for is rather niche, I don't want to check everything I find in the webs.
What I already know and like:
Lamia Vox
Okk-ULTH
Aghast
Arktau Eos
Dathura Sauvolens
Apoptose
Dargaard
Dark Sanctuary
Dark Imperivm
Herbst9
Hexentanz
Księżyc
Halgrath

Jacula and Antonius Rex (Italy).
For heavy-metal, Mercyful Fate (Denmark).

Yugoslavian band, I forget the name, they have several albums, one is called Nova Akropola. And perhaps Archaia’s self-titled album.

I know you said no metal, and I'm actually not fond of the idea of satanism in my music, but still, have you heard Therion? Their leader is a member of an ocultist sect, and the lyrics are mostly written by the leader of said sect (the Red Dragon or something of the sort). So, this guys seem to know what they are talking about.

Get an EMF reader/ghost box, and go to a very haunted location and press record!

Funny - I love this group, but their music never struck me as having an occult or Satanistic vibe at all.

Therion (until recent 3 or 4 albums) is my favourite metal band. I started my metal adventure with Therion around 15 years ago.

If you take out rock and metal you are probably going to have a pretty short list.
Anyway, I'm not really an expert on this but the band Coven were probably the first. Their debut album from 1969 predates Black Sabbath and others.

In all honesty everything OP sounds like they want can be found via DEICIDE, especially their first couple of recordings:
Deicide (1990)
Legion (1992)
Once Upon The Cross (1995)

Nova Akropola is by Laibach from Ljubljana if you mean the same album.
Laibach are pretty big and have been productive over many decades just like King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull etc. Some very interesting, innovative, even progressive material in their catalogue. I think they are less satanistic/occult than post modern, with lots of off beat cultural references (including satanism) and much irony.

I don't really know if this can be called occult/satanic or if it's un-metaly enough, but it's certainly something else.

Laibach - yes ! I thought the album was hideous. There’s also a Popol Vuh album with a German title from the early 80’s. It’s built around massed chanting - sounds very occult-ish.

No rock? No metal? Why are you on PA then? Go to your nearest local sect of the Church of Satan and join a goat chanting group.

I suppose it depends on what one means by 'occult'...but this was one where Bond even ended later committing suicide so some believe because he fell down the black hole of occultism ....he got into Crowley's type of Thelema /Magick...I think.
It's rock...jazz,...spoken vocals.. etc...

I'd recommend you to visit the church and ask the priest to exorcise the demon inside you.
